Have you seen Obama’s acceptance speech? Can you not say that *that* was compelling? Apparently, even McCain had the tenacity to, well, take a minute, to congratulate his opponent.
What can you say about this? Tenacious, or sincere?
Okay, so over the weekend, Obama announced that his running mate would be Sen. Joe Biden. It would appear that Biden is the perfect mate, because he makes up for the deficiencies that Obama has — but who knows? Who can actually tell?
In a previous interview, Biden once mentioned that, should the VP position be offered to him, he would flat-out refuse … what’s with the change?
According to helpgeorgeobama.com, “George Obama, half-brother of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, has lived in squalor and destitution in a suburb of Nairobi, Kenya all of his 26 years.”
Which leads me to question: should Barack Obama help his brother? Or should he make his brother an example of change — leave him alone so that he could make change for himself?
What’s making waves nowadays is the latest book from Ron Suskind, which chronicles secrets of the administration. Juiciest of all — apparently, the White House ordered the CIA in late 2003 to forge evidence of a link between Iraq and al Qaeda.
Which is truly terrifying. Lives have been lost to this war and for what? For an inked lie?
Then again, it could all be controversy to magically boost sales of the book. Whichever truth it is, I’m genuinely intrigued.
It looks like we won’t make it to a Mad Max era. No monster cars in the future, because by then, fuel would be too expensive that no one will be driving anymore, because it just won’t be practical. We might probably do some commuting through a pressurized tube, Futurama style.
Which makes kids interesting. They make these “vroom-vroom” noises while playing with toy cars, and it’s too sad to think that, 15 to 30 years from now, they might not EVEN be allowed to drive. Unless, of course, the automobile manufacturers cook up a way to turn alternative energies possible to make cars fast, powerful and ‘cool’ again.
